Lecture 1: High Risk CT Imaging Features in Lung Cancer Screening
Describing the various signs that allows us to pick up Lung-RADS 4A and 4B lesions
I did this lecture in December 2020.
The high risk features that I describe are these
- Size at first instance (> 8 mm – 4A, > 15 mm – 4B)
- Growth on follow-up (< 8 mm – 4A, > 8 mm – 4B)
- New lesion on follow-up (6-8 mm – 4A, > 8 mm – 4B)
- Associated findings that are worrisome (spiculation, pleural tag, notch sign, bubble lucencies)
These allow us to pick up Lung-RADS 4A and 4B lesions that need to then go for biopsy or excision.
