Case of the Day 116 - Mixed Patterns in Connective Tissue Disease ILDs

Mixed patterns are increasingly being recognized in CTD ILDs and should be mentioned in the report.

Bhavin Jankharia

31-yrs old with scleroderma and known scleroderma ILD unchanged for 1 year.

The video describes the case and the 3 different patterns noted - a fibrotic NSIP pattern, a non-fibrotic BIP pattern and DPO, suggesting underlying CiOP - hence a mixed NSIP/BIP/OP pattern.

Mixed patterns are increasingly being recognized in CTD ILDs and should be mentioned in the report.

This complements the previous post on Connective Tissue Disease ILD Patterns, where I did not discuss "mixed patterns" in detail.
